While you can earn IHG points with the card, it’s the travel perks that are worth considering.

The Chase 5/24 rule applies. If you’ve opened 5+ cards from any bank that show on your personal credit report, you won’t be eligible to open the card.
  • 26X (up to) when you stay at an IHG hotel
  • 5X on purchases on travel, gas stations, select advertising, and restaurants
  • 3X on all other purchases
IHG Platinum Status
As a cardholder, you’ll receive complimentary IHG One Rewards Platinum status.
Spend To Diamond Status
If you spend $40k in a calendar year, you’ll earn top tier Diamond status for the remainder of the year plus the following year.
Annual Free Night Certificate
Each account anniversary, you’ll receive a free night certificate worth up to 40,000 points. You can top off an award with additional points as well.
Earn A 2nd Free Night Certificate
When you spend $60k in a calendar year, you’ll receive a second free night certificate worth up to 40,000 points.
$50 United TravelBank Credit
On January 1 and July 1 of each year, you’ll receive $25 of United TravelBank credit. The credits expire on July 15 and January 15, respectively.
4th Night Free Award Bookings
As a cardholder, you can get the 4th night free when booking an award stay with points. That means you’ll only need the points for 3 nights.
Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, Or NEXUS Credit
Every 4 years, you can pay for the application fee for a Trusted Traveler Program and you’ll receive a statement credit to reimburse the cost.
No Foreign Transaction Fees
You won’t be charged to use your card abroad.
